Some people know early on what they want to do, making it easy to plan their education and career path.
But for many, the journey has been less about a straight line and more about falling into opportunities guided by experiences and people they meet.
I was part of the second group, and looking back, I'm grateful for the happy accidents that led me here.
My journey began when I unexpectedly found myself teaching deaf students after an encounter at a college bar, and later, fell into recruiting executive personal assistants for C-Suite executives after a recruiter sent me out on a temp job.
I kept falling.
But this time, I'm not falling.
This time I am intentionally stepping forward, taking all I've learned from both sides of the hiring table, spilling the secrets, sharing the strategies and pointing out the potholes that others have landed in, so you can avoid them.
Why this? why now?
With 91% of people falling into the administrative profession, and no education on how to build a career, coupled with 50% of college graduates not knowing how to turn their degree into a job, I felt compelled to create a solution. As a teacher I know how important it is to meet people where they learn best, so I created a self-guided E-Book, a 1-1 consulting program, and curated workshops, so there is an option for everyone.
I hope one day our high schools and colleges will recognize the importance of teaching students how to take a degree and turn it into a career, but until then, I'm here to guide you along the way.
This isn't just about finding a job; it's about building a career you love.
And I'm honored to be part of that journey with you.
