Welcome, I’m Jennifer
I’ve been falling into careers my whole life.
Sometimes by accident, sometimes through curiosity, and always by following the people and moments that sparked something in me.
I chose Northeastern University because I wanted the co-op program to “try on jobs", but none seemed to fit.
It was my senior year when I was invited to "deaf night" at a bar where something pulled me.
That pull led me to pursuing a Master’s Degree in Deaf Education and years teaching students how to communicate.
Later, California sparked my curiousity and led me to the world of recruiting, where I’ve been ever since.
I learned a lot about recruiting, retention and what makes a good match.
I learned about people, purpose and pivots.
And learned that people end up in potholes, and stay stuck for way too long-and it's not because they’re lazy.
It's because no one ever taught them how to be intentional about their job search, or how to connect the dots between who they are, where they want to go, how to get there, and who to ask for support.
With AI changing how we work, multigenerational offices changing who we work with, and algorythms changing who we see, I am seeing alot of people stuck.
That’s why I created the Jennifer STAR Method; a clear, practical framework, so they can avoid potholes, get out if they fall in, and always be able to pivot on their terms.
