Why I Created The Practice Your Pitch Experience

I have spent my career at the intersection of education and recruiting.

Throughout my 30 years of recruiting and preparing candidates for high-stakes interviews, I noticed a pattern: those who move quickly through their career transitions, who land roles without lengthy job searches, who get called back and hired, have 4 things in common.

I reverse-engineered what they do and created THE FOCUSED SEARCH FRAMEWORK™, which consists of the four pillars that separate candidates who get offers from those who don't.

As a former teacher of the deaf with degrees in interpersonal and organizational communications, I learned this truth: communication is how we connect, how we're understood, how we make our mark.  I've watched candidates who mastered this skill move through doors that stayed closed for everyone else.

Regardless of how many doors your AI-crafted resume, polished LinkedIn profile, or personal connections open, if you can't communicate your value when you walk through them, none of it matters.

                                                                       That's an inside job.

And it only comes from practice. Real practice.

The Practice Your Pitch Experience is where you practice your pitch in person, see how it lands, get honest feedback, refine it in real time, and build the unshakeable confidence so you never freeze up when someone says "tell me about yourself."

This program teaches you how to show up prepared, present, and powerful in any career conversation.

Because the job doesn't go to the most qualified candidate, it goes to the one who can make the person across the table believe in them.

My mission is to make sure that person is you.

Master the Skill AI Can't Replace

    YOU CAN'T MEMORIZE A CONVERSATION

You've polished your resume, updated your LinkedIn profile, and practiced answers to interview questions.

But then you're face-to-face with a recruiter at a networking event, and you freeze.

Or you're in an interview, and someone says, "So, tell me about yourself," and you ramble for two minutes without saying anything memorable.

Suddenly, your rehearsed answers don't fit.

    Career conversations aren't monologues.

They're dynamic exchanges that require you to listen, adapt, and respond in real time.

You can't Google your way through a handshake.

You can't ChatGPT your way through reading someone's body language.

And you definitely can't memorize your way into genuine connection.

Conversation confidence comes from practicing your communication skills.

Presence ensures the opportunity isn't wasted when the door does open.

    PRACTICE YOUR PITCH-THE EXPERIENCE

Practice Like It's Real. Because It Will Be.

No scripts. No theory. Just hands-on practice in a supportive environment where it's safe to stumble, get professional feedback, and try again.

    You'll practice:

    • The 60-second pitch – Introducing yourself in a way that's memorable and authentic

    • Active listening – Reading cues and responding to what the other person actually needs to hear

    • Thinking on your feet – Handling unexpected questions and navigating conversations that go off-script

    • Asking smart questions – Demonstrating curiosity and insight that makes you stand out

    • Reading the room – Adjusting your tone, energy, and message based on who you're talking to

    You'll leave with:

✓ Confidence that comes from real repetition, not rehearsal

✓ Personalized feedback from an industry professional

✓ A flexible framework you can use in any career conversation

✓ The ability to show up as yourself—polished, prepared, and present

Because the best interview prep isn't about having all the right answers,

it's about being ready for the real conversation.
